Geneva, a cosmopolitan city conducive to negotiations and new conceptions, is the prime meeting place at the highest political and economic level. It houses 174 different states, 33 international organizations, and is the headquarter of a myriad of multinational corporations and banks.


The University of Geneva (UNIGE) is highly regarded by all reliable University Rankings Tables, particularly for its international mix of both students and teachers. This international mix is particularly important to the University given the demographic of the city of Geneva. Founded in 1559, UNIGE campus has 40% international students, and 60% international teaching staff, representing 153 nationalities.

With around 18,000 students, UNIGE is the second largest university in Switzerland and its numbers are constantly on the rise. UNIGE offers more than 290 programs and more than 300 continuing education programs covering a wide variety of fields such as exact sciences, medicine, humanities, social sciences, economics law, and much more. Over 100 of its programs are taught on a bilingual or fully English platform. UNIGE experienced faculty is keenly aware of the need for today’s managers and business leaders; they use materials that help participants reflect upon learnings in the context of their organizations and that can be applied to their organization daily challenges.

UNIGE is renowned for the excellence of its faculty and students, and home to several Nobel Prize winners. Numerous amenities, such as libraries and cutting-edge computer and multimedia facilities, are available to students. EMBA students have access to these facilities with their student ID card, which is issued at the beginning of each new program.

University of Geneva offers part-time and full-time EMBA programs since 1992. The part-time Executive MBA courses can be followed in two different formats: bi-weekly or block format, to be completed over two years.
